Cookie notice

This website sets no cookies of its own. There is no analytics, no advertising, no tracking pixel, no session recording, and no profile of you.

There is no consent banner, because there is nothing here that needs consent.

Two things still reach beyond the page: a strictly necessary security cookie our hosting provider may set, and a request to Google's font servers for two typefaces. Both are described below.

Australia has no separate cookie consent regime. There is no Australian equivalent of the European ePrivacy Directive, and no statutory requirement to show a consent banner before setting a cookie.

What does apply is the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). Where a cookie or similar technology collects information about an individual who is reasonably identifiable, that is personal information, and the Australian Privacy Principles apply to it: APP 3 on collection, APP 5 on notification, APP 6 on use and disclosure.

So the Australian question is not "did you get consent for the cookie" but "have you told people what you collect, do you actually need it, and are you using it only for what you said". This page answers those three.

A consent banner exists to collect permission for storage that is not strictly necessary. This site has none of that, so a banner would be asking you to consent to nothing.

That is worse than leaving it out. It trains people to dismiss a control that matters elsewhere, and it implies the site is doing something it is not.

If analytics or advertising is ever added here, we will ask before it loads, make refusing exactly as easy as accepting, and update this page and its effective date first.

That is the complete list. We set nothing ourselves, and neither cookie is readable by us as an identifier of you.

• No Google Analytics, Plausible, Fathom, Matomo, or any other analytics.
• No advertising and no advertising cookies.
• No Meta pixel, no LinkedIn Insight tag, no TikTok pixel, no conversion tracking of any kind.
• No session recording, heatmapping or scroll tracking.
• No embedded video, no embedded map, no social widget, no comment system.
• No local storage, no session storage, no IndexedDB written by our code.
• No fingerprinting, and no attempt to identify a returning visitor.

All of this is checkable. Open your browser's developer tools, look at the Application and Network panels, and you will see what we have described and nothing else. That is a better assurance than a paragraph of promises.

This site loads two typefaces from Google Fonts, at fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com. Making that request tells Google's servers your IP address, your user agent, and which page referred the request. Google states that the Fonts service sets no cookies and does not use the requests for advertising or profiling.

We could avoid the request entirely by self hosting the font files, and it is on our list. Until it is done, this is the honest description rather than an omission, and if you block those two hosts the site renders correctly in a system font.

Every web server records the requests it receives. Our hosting provider logs the IP address, timestamp, path, user agent and response code for each request. That is not a cookie and nothing is stored on your device, but it is personal information and it belongs in an honest account of what this site collects.

The logs are held by the provider on its own retention cycle, currently under 30 days, and are used for delivering the page and defending against abuse. They are not combined with anything else and not used to build a profile.

Every major browser lets you block cookies, delete them, and see exactly what a site has set. Blocking the two cookies listed above may mean Cloudflare shows you a challenge more often, but the site will work.

• Chrome: Settings, then Privacy and security, then Third-party cookies and Site data.
• Safari: Settings, then Privacy, then Manage Website Data.
• Firefox: Settings, then Privacy and Security, then Cookies and Site Data.
• Edge: Settings, then Cookies and site permissions.

We honour both, which is easy for us because there is nothing here to switch off. If either signal is present in your request, no additional storage or processing occurs, which is also true if neither is present.

We say so anyway, because a site that ignores these signals and stays silent about it is making a choice it would rather you did not notice.

Cookies are a website mechanism. Our mobile games do not use them. They use device and advertising identifiers, which have their own controls and their own section in the privacy policy.

If you have arrived here looking for how to stop a game tracking you, the advertising section of the privacy policy is the right page, and the short answer is that personalised advertising is off unless you turned it on.

If we add anything that stores information on your device beyond what is listed here, we will update this page and its effective date before the change goes live, and where consent is required under the law that applies to you, we will ask for it first.
